37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.00 AM – 4.00 PM

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant at Brick Lane School, you won’t just support learning—you’ll help shape lives.
You’ll work closely with pupils who have diverse needs, fostering personalised learning through:
- Trust
- Encouragement
- Consistency
Your role includes:
- Assisting with preparing and delivering engaging classwork, hands-on activities, and outdoor learning
- Providing emotional, physical, and social support to enhance wellbeing and engagement
- Collaborating across classes and environments as part of a supportive, close-knit team
Every day offers variety, ensuring no two tasks are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with complex needs to access learning, build independence, and develop essential life skills.
- Assist in hands-on classroom, practical, and outdoor activities.
- Provide consistent emotional, physical, and social support for meaningful engagement.
- Work flexibly across classes and apply strategies from teachers and professionals.
- Specifically aid autistic pupils in:
- Communication development
- Emotional regulation
- Independence and relationship-building
- Pool-side supervision
- Personal/intimate care as needed

Requirements
- National Curriculum Standards: Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English
- Attitude: A compassionate, adaptable approach to regional learning support
- Commitment: Willingness to embrace a dynamic, hands-on school setting
