Teaching Assistant

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Grade: B

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £24,796 (Actual Salary £16,258)

Term time only - 8.55am - 3.10pm

Trinity School, part of the Newbury Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint a highly-motivated Teaching Assistant to join our support staff team. This is a rewarding role supporting students in either mainstream lessons or within our ACE Unit, helping them to access the curriculum and working closely with teachers.

The successful candidate will build strong, positive relationships with students and staff, and play an important role in helping every student access their learning, whatever their starting point.

We Are Seeking Applications From Colleagues Who

  • Are highly motivated and flexible, keen to support students in mainstream lessons or within our ACE Unit
  • Are able to build strong, positive working relationships with both students and staff
  • Have a good general level of education and a genuine willingness to learn
  • Are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities, or are considering a future career in teaching
  • Work closely and collaboratively with teaching staff to help students access the curriculum
  • Are values driven, reflective, and aligned with Trinity's ethos and culture
