Are you looking for a flexible education role in Plymouth? Randstad is recruiting a proactive and adaptable Primary Supply Teaching Assistant to support local schools across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
This role offers the perfect balance of rewarding classroom experience without the take-home pressure of planning and marking. Whether you are looking for 1 day a week or full-time supply, we can match your availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Support: Assist class teachers with resource preparation and setting up learning environments.
- Targeted Interventions: Deliver 1:1 and small group support focusing on core literacy and numeracy skills.
- SEN Support: Provide tailored assistance to pupils with diverse learning needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Behaviour Management: Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere by implementing school behaviour policies.
- Pupil Welfare: Supervise children during break and lunchtimes, ensuring a safe environment.

Requirements
- Proven experience working within a UK primary school or childcare setting.
- Strong communication skills and a reliable, adaptable work ethic.
- Knowledge of the primary national curriculum (KS1/KS2).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one).
- Right to work in the UK.
