Suitable for a recent Graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant
A Teaching Assistant is needed in a Coeducational Secondary School and Sixth Form in South West London.
This Teaching Assistant position will be full time and long term temporary with scope to go permanent.
Working hours for this Teaching Assistant post will be 8am to 4pm with a 1 hour unpaid break.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant role will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting SEN and LAPs in group or whole class intervention sessions
- Working with the teachers to ensure each student’s learning needs are identified
- Attending to students social, emotional and personal needs when required
- Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
- Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed
The rates of pay for this Teaching Assistant position will be between GBP99.75 and GBP116.55, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

Requirements
Applications are welcome if you’re a recent Graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant.
You’re also welcome if you’re a British trained Teaching Assistant or overseas trained Teaching Assistant.
All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this post as a Teaching Assistant:
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- UK Bachelors Degree or overseas equivalent
- Experience of working with children/teenagers/young people or as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools
