About This Role
At Holme Hall Primary School, we strive to provide the best education for all our pupils in a caring and supportive environment, and we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our happy team (HHPTA2A).
We are seeking a skilled and confident Teaching Assistant who:
- Shares the ethos of our school
- Is committed to supporting our brilliant children and the community we serve
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience of working in a school setting
- Knowledge of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
- Experience supporting the delivery of phonics

The successful candidate will:
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to create a positive learning environment
- Support the class teacher in preparation for lessons and teaching activities
- Contribute to children’s physical, social, and emotional welfare
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation in teaching support strategies
- Maintain high expectations of both achievement and behaviour
- Uphold and promote the school’s values and ethos
- Champion and support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs
- Show passion and motivation to achieve the very best for the children in our care
- Assess and evaluate pupils’ needs independently
- Lead intervention groups to provide focused support
- Safeguarding commitment: Expect all staff to prioritise the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils
