Teaching Assistant

Primary Supply Teaching Assistant: Flexible Work (Plymouth)

Are you seeking a rewarding role in education that offers true professional flexibility? We are currently seeking a proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic Primary Supply Teaching Assistant to join a network of educational institutions in Plymouth. This position is ideal for experienced individuals who wish to make a meaningful impact in the classroom without the commitment of full-time planning and marking.

Responsibilities

  • Assist class teachers with the preparation of learning resources and daily activities.
  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for literacy and numeracy.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Contribute to effective classroom behaviour management to promote a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during break and lunch periods.
  • Adhere strictly to individual school policies and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working within a classroom or similar educational setting.
  • A reliable, punctual, and highly professional approach to your duties.
  • The ability to adapt quickly and effectively to new school environments and routines.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting the educational development of primary-aged students.
  • An enhanced DBS check, or a willingness to undergo the necessary vetting process.
