Teaching Assistant at a Specialist SEN School

Ready to make a real difference? We're looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team at a leading specialist school for young people with special educational needs. If you have experience supporting students with diverse needs and want to be part of a rewarding environment, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a permanent, full-time position located in a beautiful rural setting near Cranleigh. Due to the location, your own transport is essential.

The Role: What You'll Do

Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be a key member of the team, working closely with teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the planning and delivery of lessons, helping to make learning accessible and fun.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing valuable feedback.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with students and their families.
  • Contributing to a compassionate and inclusive classroom culture that celebrates every student's success.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be empathetic, patient, and truly passionate about making a difference. You should also have:

  • Proven experience supporting young people with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • A valid driving license and your own vehicle (this is a must-have due to the location).
  • A commitment to inclusive education and a positive attitude.
