Teaching Assistant - Winshill Village Primary School

Teaching Assistant

Fixed Term from 1st September 2026 for 12 months

Term-Time only plus 5 INSET Days (39 working weeks per year/45.05 paid weeks)

Part time working 16.25 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:45am-12pm

Salary: Grade 4 (SCP 6-7) £25,989 - £26,403 per annum pro rata

Actual salary: £9,861.43-£10,018.52 per annum


At John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT), we believe in the power of education to transform lives and make a positive difference. As a proud member of JTMAT, we are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team on a 12-month fixed-term basis from September 2026.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide high-quality support for pupils, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. You will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing throughout the school day, working with individuals, small groups, and whole classes as required. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential, has excellent communication and teamwork skills, and is committed to making a positive impact every day. Experience in a similar role is desirable, along with a minimum Level 2 qualification relevant to supporting teaching and learning.
