Teaching Assistant
Location: Riseley Green School, Riseley, Reading, Berkshire RG7 1QF
Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.30pm Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only Start: July 2026

About the Role
Riseley Green School is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join its team, with a focus on supporting pupils with autism (ASC) and complex needs. The role involves creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive and achieve their potential.
Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, your core duties will include:
- Supporting pupils’ learning through tailored classroom activities and one-to-one engagement.
- Preparing learning materials and assisting in lesson delivery.
- Promoting wellbeing, independence, and confidence among students.
- Assisting with outdoor learning experiences and off-site activities.
- Collaborating closely with teachers and other professionals to provide consistent, high-quality support.
- Your ability to build trust, provide stability, and encourage curiosity will significantly impact pupils’ progression and happiness.

Riseley Green School is an independent specialist school near Reading, Berkshire, dedicated to serving autistic young people aged 4–16, with a capacity of 60 pupils.
