Job Title: Supply Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Okehampton, Devon and surrounding areas
Salary: GBP92.56 - GBP95.00 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Term:time only)

Your Role as a Supply Teaching Assistant
Working standard school hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, you will support primary school pupils across Okehampton and surrounding areas with their academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Working 1:on:1 or in small groups with pupils who need extra support in reading, writing, and maths.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children from Reception to Year 6.
- Adapting quickly to different school environments and team dynamics.

Requirements
You do not need a formal teaching qualification, but experience working with young people is essential. We highly value transferable skills from various backgrounds.
- Experience: Proven experience working with children or young people (e.g., in youth clubs, sports coaching, nurseries, care, volunteering, or Sunday schools).
- Hours: Ability to commit to the 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM schedule.
- Key Skills: Excellent communication, patience, reliability, and a proactive can:do attitude.
- Vetting: Must hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to process a new one through Randstad.
