Contract: Full-time, Long-term (Maternity Cover)

Start Date: Mid-September 2026 (October start can be accommodated if required)

Reeson Education is recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the M23 area of Manchester. This is a full-time, long-term maternity cover opportunity expected to run for the full academic year, making it an excellent role for someone looking for consistency and the chance to become part of a supportive school community.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be based within the school's dedicated SEND unit, supporting a small class of pupils from EYFS to Year 2. Many of the children have ASD and are non-verbal, so previous experience supporting pupils with complex communication needs is essential.

  • Work closely with children with Autism (ASD), including pupils who are non-verbal.
  • Deliver tailored one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils access learning and develop independence.
  • Use visual supports, structured routines and communication strategies to encourage engagement.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, social interaction and communication development.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Help create a calm, nurturing and engaging learning environment where every child feels safe and valued.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
