Applications are invited for a 2-year fixed term Teaching Fellow in Politics and Public Policy within the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) at the University of Warwick, starting on 1 September 2026. The role carries a salary at FA6 of the University of Warwick salary scale.
This position seeks an exceptional and inspirational teacher who takes pride in their work.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, research-led teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the disciplines of Politics and Public Policy.
- Teach across relevant courses including:
- Introduction to Politics
- Political Research in the 21st Century
- Specialised modules in Public Policy, UK Politics, or US Politics
- Act as Module Director, ensuring curriculum development and student progression.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.
- Develop a research profile in alignment with departmental ambitions, with supportive frameworks provided.
About You
Essential Requirements
- A degree classified at ** honours level** or equivalent, coupled with:
- A completed or near-completed PhD (or equivalent) in Politics and International Studies or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Deliver research-led instruction at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Foster innovative teaching methods and integrate e-learning techniques.
- Ability to supervise advanced research projects (dissertations).
- Strong commitment to:
- High academic standards
- Student engagement
- Continuous professional development in teaching
