About The Role

Applications are invited for a 2-year fixed-term Teaching Fellow in Politics and International Studies (Politics of Artificial Intelligence) within the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) at the University of Warwick, starting 1 September 2026. The appointment will be at FA6 of the University’s salary scale.
We are seeking an exceptional, inspirational teacher with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship. The successful candidate will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Politics and International Studies, covering modules such as:
- Introduction to Politics
- World Politics
- Political Research in the 21st Century
- Specialised teaching on the Politics of Artificial Intelligence
- Supervise dissertations at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Support the development of research within the role
The department values research-informed teaching and will foster the successful applicant’s academic growth.
About You
Qualifications & Experience
- An honours degree or equivalent in Politics and International Studies (or a related discipline)
- A PhD (awarded or near completion) in a relevant field
- Strong doctoral research experience relevant to teaching in Politics of Artificial Intelligence
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative, inclusive, and research-led teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Incorporate advanced e-learning techniques and digital tools in teaching
- Foster an environment that values diversity and equality in the classroom
- Uphold best practices for supporting students from all backgrounds
