Teaching Specialist - Quality Team

We are seeking an exceptional, high-performing teaching specialist to join our Quality Team. This is an exciting, cross-college role working across both Barnfield College and West Herts College at all campuses – Watford, Barnfield and Hemel Hempstead.

About the Role

The main purpose of this role is to drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment. You will be supporting teachers to become highly effective practitioners through coaching and development. You will also be involved in a range of quality assurance, improvement and CPD activities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a fully qualified teacher (L5 Cert. Ed. or equivalent). You will be a consistently high-performing teacher and must have experience of working within a Further Education college setting.

  • Experience working with a range of awarding organisations
  • Comprehensive understanding of effective planning, teaching strategies and assessment practices
  • Experience of delivering externally assessed qualifications is beneficial

  • Fast-paced environment, working on multiple priorities

  • Build credibility quickly, challenge constructively and support staff to improve
