Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Administrator (Assessment & Progression)
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Administrator (Assessment & Progression). This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the day-to-day administration of teaching, assessment, and student processes across our area of work.
You will:
- Help provide a reliable, supportive service for students and staff
- Seek practical improvements to how we work
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the wider team and University
- Focus particularly on delivering a flexible, joined-up approach during busy assessment periods
Responsibilities
- Support the administration of assessment, progression, and related student processes across the team’s area of work
- Coordinate day-to-day tasks, provide guidance to colleagues, and act as the team’s point of contact
- Offer clear and professional advice and support to students, academic colleagues, and professional services staff
- Organise and support formal meetings (e.g., exam boards and malpractice hearings) and prepare required papers and notes
- Review and improve administrative processes to enhance consistency, efficiency, and service quality

Essential Criteria:
- Relevant knowledge of teaching and learning and/or student administration policies and procedures
- Experience working in a team-based administrative environment within a large organisation, supporting colleagues flexibly
- Strong communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with meticulous accuracy and attention to detail
- Good digital skills, including the ability to use and learn relevant systems
- Ability to prioritise varied workloads, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and deliver high standards of customer service
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience coordinating work activities
- Preferable familiarity with systems like Campus Solutions and customer service environments
- Flexibility to work outside normal hours (where required) during peak academic periods, including restricted leave during critical stages of the assessment cycle
- Willingness to undertake duties such as supporting in-house exam sessions and material movement across campus
