About the School - Charterhouse Square

Charterhouse Square is a non-selective, co-educational independent school based in the City of London for students aged 3-11 years. The school has excellent transport links, with the Elizabeth line, Farringdon mainline and Barbican tube all within a 5-minute walk. About the Role

As a Teaching & Wrap Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational, physical, and social development of pupils. Working under the guidance of teaching staff and the Wrap Manager, you will help deliver engaging lessons and sports activities during the school day and provide a safe, stimulating environment for children in our After School Club. Your responsibilities will include assisting with learning activities, encouraging independence, and ensuring pupils’ wellbeing. This is a varied role where you will work both in classrooms and in wraparound care, making a positive impact on children aged 3–11.

This is a permanent, full-time role with a start date on 1st September 2026.

Hours:
8:00am – 6:00pm Mon-Fri (term-time – 34 weeks), 8:30am – 5:30pm (holidays – 9 weeks).

Holidays:
Easter x 2 weeks, Christmas x 2 weeks, May Half-Term x 1 week, Summer x 1 week, Elective x 3 weeks outside of term.

Who We Are Looking For

You are passionate about working with children and understand the importance of their development. You can explain tasks clearly, supervise effectively, and support pupils individually or in groups. You are organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively. Ideally, you have experience with Key Stage 2 pupils and knowledge of behaviour management and safeguarding. A positive attitude toward learning and professional growth is essential. If you have sports coaching experience or relevant childcare qualifications, that’s a bonus—but most importantly, you love helping children thrive.
