Are you looking to join a friendly and supportive administration team at Gloucestershire County Council?

Then we would love to hear from you!

About the role:

We are looking for a full-time Team Administrator (on a 18-month fixed-term contract) who enjoys working as part of a team to join our Mental Health Team, based in Shire Hall, Gloucester.

As a Team Administrator you will provide an efficient clerical and administration service for our Adult Social Care Team. You will assist in the delivery of a comprehensive support service that our team provides in meeting the needs of the wider community.

You will be part of a friendly, supportive, and established team. We offer flexible working with a mix of office and home working.

To find out more about our Mental Health team, please, see more information below.

About you:

You will have strong communication and organisational skills. Ideally you will have some experience of working in a busy office environment. You will be a competent user of Microsoft Office.

You will be taking calls from internal colleagues as well as members of the public, so a professional telephone manner is a must.

You will be using the Liquid Logic system so knowledge of this would be beneficial, however full training will be given.

If you are proactive and enjoy working within a team, then this could be the ideal role for you.

Our values are at the heart of everything we do and how we treat each other. They provide essential guiding principles about the way that we work and set the tone for our culture, and identify what we, as an organisation, care about. Read more about our values on our website.

If you hold the same behaviours and approach, then we want to hear from you! In exchange, we will provide you with full training and support to help you succeed in your role.

About the team/service:

The Mental Health Service at Gloucestershire County Council supports adults who have social care needs arising from a primary, nonorganic mental health condition/s. Our service works across a range of settings, including community and inpatient, providing high quality, person-centred support that empowers people to live as independently and safely as possible.

We take a recovery-focused, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, placing wellbeing, prevention, and personal autonomy at the heart of everything we do. Our work is grounded in partnership, collaboration, and a deep commitment to improving outcomes for the individuals and communities we serve.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
