Salary: HG 16T Circa £60,000, negotiable depending on experience
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Cardiff, UK
Hybrid working: 2 days in office

About The Job
Responsible for leading the design, delivery, and control of global IT Infrastructure services, enabling the organisation with an efficient, scalable, and resilient global infrastructure. The role manages the Cloud and Data Centre team to deliver expert technical services across infrastructure environments and ensures the effective delivery of both project and operational services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, delivery, and management of global IT infrastructure services across cloud and data centre environments
- Manage and develop a team of infrastructure and cloud engineers
- Ensure delivery of services in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Define and maintain infrastructure standards covering availability, resilience, performance, and security
- Oversee vendor management and supplier performance
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execution aligned to business continuity strategies
- Coordinate implementation of new systems into the global infrastructure environment
- Develop infrastructure and data centre strategy aligned to organisational goals

Qualifications
- Degree level education or equivalent with relevant IT certifications (Azure, AWS, ITIL)
- Proven experience in infrastructure or cloud operations roles
- Strong knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud platforms
- Experience with enterprise networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls
- Knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as VMware
- Experience working with Linux/Unix environments
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Line management or leadership experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
