Team Lead / Lead Python Developer
Location: Remote – UK based only
Salary: £75k - £80k + benefits
TrueNorth are exclusively partnering with a successful SaaS organisation to hire a Lead / Team Lead Python Developer. This is a 70% hands-on, 30% leadership role where you’ll drive new feature development and enhancements for an established, market-leading product.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and mentor a team of Python developers while remaining hands-on with code
- Own technical delivery of new features and continuous improvements to the platform
- Set engineering standards, champion best practices, and contribute to architecture decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and DevOps

Essential experience:
- Proven team leadership – formal Team Lead or hands-on technical lead experience
- 6+ years commercial Python web development
- Strong Django or Flask expertise
- Solid SQL + NoSQL database experience
- Cloud platform experience – GCP preferred
- TDD mindset – the team ships without dedicated testers, so quality is on you

Package: Up to £80k depending on experience + comprehensive benefits. Fully remote, but you must be UK based.
