Role Description
The Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Wallingford, responsible for overseeing home improvement projects and coordinating day-to-day activities on site. This role includes supervising project teams, allocating tasks, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. The Team Lead will liaise with the dedicated project manager, clients, and suppliers, provide updates on progress, and promptly address issues or changes in scope. Daily activities involve monitoring quality, managing materials and equipment, enforcing health and safety procedures, and supporting team members’ development. The Team Lead is expected to maintain professional conduct, foster a positive work environment, and uphold the company’s commitment to excellent customer service and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

- Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience supervising site personnel and coordinating multiple tasks.
- Proven project coordination abilities, such as scheduling, resource planning, and overseeing day-to-day site operations.
- Solid knowledge of construction or home improvement practices, ideally in areas such as garden rooms, landscaping, windows, doors, or building conversions.
- Commitment to health and safety standards, with experience implementing and monitoring safe work practices on site.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact clearly and respectfully with clients, team members, and suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on quality, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work on site full time in Wallingford, including managing time and priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Previous experience in a lead, supervisor, or foreperson role within construction, renovations, or related fields; relevant trade qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
- Basic proficiency with project documentation, reporting, and use of mobile or digital tools for communication and tracking progress.
