We are seeking an experienced, qualified and compassionate Team Leader to join our expandingChildren’s Residential Care service in Cannock.
About the Role
FirstBlue is a growing organisation specialising in supporting Children and Young People who have experienced early life trauma, neglect or abuse, often displaying challenging behaviours. You will work to ensure a safe, nurturing environment through exceptional leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate shifts with Residential Support Workers to ensure continuity of care
- Ensure risk management is completed in line with company policies and guidelines
- Lead daily communication with the team regarding residential plans
- Produce clear progress reports and update care plans using our paperless systems
- Review and update care documentation proactively for each young person
Requirements
What you must have:
✅ Full manual driving licence ✅ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification) ✅ Commitment to further continuous professional development ✅ A true passion for supporting at-risk children and young people ✅ Ability to be an active, collaborative team member in a dynamic organisation
Core Qualities Needed:
🔹 Exceptional communication – ability to translate complex situations clearly 🔹 Deep knowledge of legislation, including:
- Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
- Associated quality standards 🔹 Empathy and emotional resilience – fostering calm, compassionate, professional relationships 🔹 Positive parenting strategies – honoured commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children
