Job Introduction

Landmarc Support Services is seeking a motivated Facilities Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a group of operatives dedicated to the upkeep and maintenance of the Training Estate facilities. Typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

We are looking for someone with experience working in a Facilities Management industry or leading a high-performing team in a similar environment.

Shifts run between: 07:00 - 22:30 from Monday to Sunday.

Hours of work: 37 per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Castlelaw Ranges, Easter Howgate, Penicuik, Scotland, EH26 0PB

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead team members in duties and performance
  • Play an active role – a good deal of your time will be split between working alongside your team as well as supporting the Site supervisor with the administration of the site.
  • Undertake/oversee, daily cleaning duties within facilities blocks ensuring relevant paperwork is updated
  • Oversee stock levels, ensuring materials and supplies are managed efficiently
  • Carry out ground maintenance tasks
  • Operate and maintain plant machinery and equipment
  • Conduct general estate maintenance tasks
  • Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety regulations & company policy.
  • Complete all necessary documentation using both IT and paper-based systems
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the overall success of the team under the guidance of the Site Supervisor

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of soft facilities management services
  • General experience in housekeeping, building and grounds maintenance
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database management
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety protocols, including COSHH, manual handling, and risk assessments
  • Experience operating plant machinery (desirable)
  • A proactive approach to learning and personal development
  • Proven ability to organise, prioritise and plan workload
  • Flexibility to work in an ever-changing work environment.
  • A valid UK manual driving licence is essential for this role
