Team Leader
Team Leader (Sustainable Facilities & Energy Services) – Reading (Permanent, Full-Time)
About the Role
Equans is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our facilities management and energy services team based in Reading, working 40 hours per week on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities

Workload Planning & Coordination
- Schedule Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works promptly, ensuring all contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
- Log and assign jobs on CAFM systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Planon) and relevant customer systems while ensuring real-time updates.

Internal & External Liaison
- Engage with internal stakeholders and external clients, providing timely updates, data insights, and process improvements.
- Approve and issue purchase orders as required.

Resource & Workload Management
- Analyze the current PPM regime to identify operational trends and optimize engineering resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the management team to implement strategies for balancing workloads and preventing bottlenecks.

Procurement & Supply Chain
- Work with courier service providers to facilitate sample collections where necessary.
- Manage purchasing processes and vendor delivery logistics.

Requirements & Qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience navigating CAFM software (SAP, Coupa, Planon).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft ecosystem (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Exceptional customer-focused mindset with attention to brand reputation.
- Purchasing & supplier management experience.
- Working knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) industry (desirable but not essential).
- Health and safety awareness (eligible workplace safety knowledge).
Additional Considerations
This role requires right-to-work evidence and may necessitate a pathway for a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. Relocation support is not provided.
