Job Description
Are you an experienced food retailer looking for your next challenge? We’re searching for someone for the position of Team Leader, to help drive success in our store; a role designed for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, and has ambitions to progress.
As Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in supporting and developing a high-performing team, helping to drive profitability, and maintaining outstanding store standards. You’ll have a hands-on approach, ensuring excellent availability, top-tier service, and a well-executed operation. With a keen eye for commercial opportunities, you’ll help maximise sales while keeping efficiency and profitability at the heart of what you do.
We’re looking for someone with leadership experience in food retail, who is confident in all departments, roles and tasks, and comfortable making decisions, motivating the team, and delivering results. Key Responsibilities
- Run the store confidently and proactively in the absence of the Assistant / Store Manager.
- Act as a more senior presence in-store, handling issues positively to help resolve them.
- Deal with customer complaints and work proactively to find resolutions.
- Ensure all health and safety and food safety processes are completed to a high standard, and all Company policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Keep the store’s presentation standards high, with 99%+ availability, sharp merchandising, the right POS in place, and exceptional cleanliness at all times.
- Ensure all stock processes, such as ordering and facing up, are completed to a high quality and on time.
- Train and develop the team in-store, helping them become truly multiskilled and experts in specific areas.
- Complete daily audits proactively, without needing reminders.
- Assist the management team with lower-level HR investigations and meetings.
- Show a passion for food, engaging with all our products and suppliers and sharing your knowledge with the team and customers.

Essential Skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to run a store confidently in a manager’s absence.
- Confidence across all departments, roles and tasks in-store.
- A proactive approach to standards, audits and stock processes.
- Comfortable supporting lower-level HR investigations and meetings.
- A commercial mindset, with a willingness to embrace targets and contribute to a profitable business.

Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in a retail supervisory or team leader role.
- Knowledge of the convenience or forecourt retail sector.

Job Type
- Full Time (5 days a week, Mon-Sun).
Pay
- £29,800 per annum.
Work Location
- Based at TOUT’S Cleeve (BS49 4NR).
