Team Leader

Eurofins Scientific

Chemistry and Stability Department Head

Role Overview Lead and develop the Chemistry and Stability department. 39 hours per week with mixed hours: 09:00 – 17:15 (4 days) and 09:00 – 17:30 (1 day).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Schedule team activities.
  • Conduct primary batch audits.
  • Oversee technical and data reviews.
  • Handle client communications and meetings.
  • Support resolution of quality issues.
  • Draft and review exception reports.
  • Lead root cause analysis and quality risk assessments.
  • Implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
  • Manage change controls.
  • Support equipment calibration, qualification, and maintenance.
  • Author and review Chemistry procedures, protocols, and reports.
  • Support self-inspections.
  • Prepare for and assist with client audits, plus regulatory inspections.
  • Propose and implement continuous process improvements.
  • Develop departmental budgets and forecasts.
  • Support the commercial team’s objectives.
  • Serve on the site leadership team.
  • Attend regular Quality Management Reviews (QMR).
  • Design and deliver Chemistry training.
  • Mentor and develop team members.

Requirements

Senior-level qualifications and experience preferred:

  • Degree in life sciences recommended.
  • Experience in GMP- or GLP-regulated environments, particularly Stability storage/testing roles.
  • Deep understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as a team leader.
  • Proven leadership skills, judgement, and capacity to motivate others.
  • Exceptional report writing and organisational skills.
  • Rigorous quality consciousness with adherence to industry standards.
  • Problem-solving mindset characterised by a methodical, innovative, and tenacious approach.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Expertise in Chemistry techniques required for this role.
  • Passion for quality and customer service excellence.
  • Proficient training capacities.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with ability to translate client needs into tailored solutions.
