Team Leader at Ashburnham House
Team Leader (Residential Care) – Ashburnham House, Talgarth
Salary: £15.11 per hour Contract: Full-time (36 hour week) Shift Hours: 08:00 – 20:00
About the Role & Organisation
Shaw Healthcare is recruiting a passionate and caring Team Leader to support Ashburnham House in Talgarth, Brecon. This supported living service provides personalised care for individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example: Uphold and demonstrate best practice in person-centred care
- Medication management: Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw Healthcare policies
- Proactive reporting: Notify the Line Manager immediately of any changes in residents' needs or well-being
- Effective communication: Engage with residents, families, and colleagues professionally and empathetically
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date care plans and records

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential care for older adults or individuals with mental health needs
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification in progress)
- Team leadership or ability to take initiative
- Key attributes: patient, organised, and highly people-focused
