Team Leader
Team Leader – Greene King Pubs
As a Team Leader, you’ll lead by example, ensuring the team has everything they need to deliver a seamless shift with professionalism. Your role involves maintaining high service standards and guaranteeing that every customer leaves satisfied with their experience.
About the Role
You’ll act as a key liaison between management and staff, deputising when needed, resolving operational challenges, and overseeing team coordination during peak times. The perfect Team Leader delivers exceptional service, ensures regulatory compliance (e.g., bar health, safety, and licensing), and fosters a lively, inclusive working environment in the heart of our community.
Your Responsibilities
At Greene King, we want our Team Leaders to embody the spirit of our pubs—approachable, proactive, and customer-focused. Your duties include:
- Providing a warm, memorable experience for every guest to encourage return visits and build loyalty.
- Deputising for management—looking after operations when leaders are unavailable, ensuring smooth shifts.
- Coordinating and organising teams to match demand, needed both under pressure and quiet periods.
- Maintaining bar standards—compliance with food hygiene, legal requirements, and general cleanliness, addressing issues swiftly.
- Driving performance by setting and reinforcing high standards while upskilling staff.
- Being an ambassador for our brand in person, online, and through team spirit.
