Team Leader – Complex Case Team | Change Grow Live (West Sussex)

We are now offering an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our new Complex Case Team—a role that aligns with our multi-disciplinary service across West Sussex.
About the Role
As Team Leader, you will:
- Manage a small team of Senior Workers flexibly across West Sussex, fostering strong relationships with external partners and providing intensive support to complex clients.
- Ensure service users access safe, tailored treatment and care, including outreach and co-located support as needed.
- Lead a new service— intérieurh agente for its implementation and ongoing delivery as part of the Change Grow Live West Sussex Drug & Alcohol Wellbeing Network.
- Help individuals progress towards their goals and transform their lives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operational leadership of a multi-disciplinary team:
- Supervision, appraisal, sickness, and performance management;
- Ensuring staff adherence to Change Grow Live (CGL) and external policies.
- Empowering staff to promote hope, empowerment, and choice—s':
- creative opportunities that enable service users to fulfil their potential;
- Meet rigorous personal independence and recovery models.
- Recruitment & induction of new team members.
- Cultivating a professional and positive culture focused on high-quality service.
- Supporting the Deputy Service Manager in developing best practices.
- Building strong partnerships internally and externally—including wider agencies.
- Reducing risk to service users through evidence-based interventions.
- Supporting positive outcomes via observed practice and timely feedback.
- Managing buildings/satellites to ensure safe and welcoming environments.

Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Experience leading and managing teams, especially those working with individuals with multiple/complex needs (e.g., adult substance use alongside mental health, criminal justice, or housing challenges).
- Excellent knowledge of drugs, alcohol, and their effects.
- Line management experience—hiring, training, and performance oversight.
- Ability to inspire, empower, and motivate team members under pressure.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and skill in embedding them operationally.
- Demonstrated capacity in fostering and maintaining partnerships (e.g., housing, healthcare, law enforcement).
- Kelle terminal knowledge in delivering evidence-based interventions for substance misuse.
- Familiarity with community-based support (outreach, co-located work,-windows).
- Acquired data collection, monitoring, outcome tracking capabilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication under fluctuating demands.
- Commitment to flexibility, resilience, and addressing so short-term crises.
- Right to work legally in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
