Cleaning Team Leader - Domestic Operations

Location: Malvern

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part time (30 hours per week) Reference: RQ0000554


About the Role

As part of our Domestic Operations team, you will play a key role in maintaining high cleaning standards across the College. You’ll join a small team of Cleaning Team Leaders, supporting the delivery of excellent standards of cleanliness and supporting our pupils and wider College community.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and ensure tasks are completed to the required standards and within agreed timeframes
  • Respond to operational priorities effectively
  • Carry out quality checks and monitor cleaning performance, addressing any issues promptly
  • Report defects, maintenance issues, or health and safety concerns, ensuring appropriate follow-up action is taken
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, safe working practices, and COSHH requirements
  • Maintain stock control and ensure equipment and cleaning materials are used correctly and safely

Additionally, you will undertake cleaning duties daily, including (but not limited to):

Hours of Work

  • 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (on a 5 days over 7 basis)
  • Requires flexibility in working hours, including occasional weekend working
  • Time off in lieu or paid flat rate for weekend work as required

Requirements

Essential:

  • Full, valid driving licence (due to transporting equipment across site)

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning environment
  • Proactive “can-do” attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong health and safety awareness for cleaning environments
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Polite, professional, and approachable manner
  • Good time management and flexibility in working hours
