Team Leader Construction Apprenticeships

(Plumbing & Domestic Heating, Gas & Renewables)

Role Information

Location: Horizon 38

FTE Salary: Up to £35,793 per annum, plus a £1,500 allowance for team lead responsibilities and up to £5,000 annual market supplement. (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)

Contract Type: Full time, Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

We have an exciting role of Team Leader in Plumbing & Domestic Heating, Gas & Renewables within our Construction Apprenticeships team!

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, assessment and support across Gas, Plumbing and Heating apprenticeship programmes, ensuring consistently strong learner outcomes
  • Support quality assurance activities, including IQA processes, standardisation and compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with the Learning Area Manager to monitor learner progress, ensuring timely achievement and accurate tracking of performance
  • Contribute to curriculum development across Plumbing, Domestic Heating, Gas and Renewables, embedding continuous improvement
  • Support and guide colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across the provision
  • Engage with employers to ensure training meets industry needs and supports positive apprentice experiences and outcomes

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant industry qualifications in Gas, Plumbing and Heating, with up-to-date sector knowledge and experience
  • Experience of delivering or assessing apprenticeships, with a strong understanding of IQA practices and quality assurance processes
  • Ability to support team development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to track learner progress and maintain accurate records
  • A recognised teaching and/or assessing qualification (e.g. PGCE, AET, CAVA, TAQA) or willingness to work towards
  • Passion for developing apprentices and supporting high-quality training aligned to industry standards
