Team Leader
Team Leader (Mental Health Support) – Full-Time (Up to £14.30 per hour)
Whalley Range, Greater Manchester
About the Role
Creative Support are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to manage our team of support staff at our Mental Health service in Whalley Range.
Key Responsibilities
As Team Leader, you will:
- Receive guidance and support from the registered service manager to maintain high-quality support for our supported accommodation service.
- Join a cohort of experienced regional managers, who—alongside the registered manager—will provide peer support in your role.
- Directly lead the team and manage line management duties for team members.
- Operate across different support streams to ensure effective service delivery, working closely with senior staff.
- Provide direct support to service users, offering person-centred care to help individuals with mental health needs live as independently as possible and engage with their community.
- Build therapeutic relationships through active engagement with service users.
- Conduct assessments of new referrals and ensure robust review processes.
- Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to provide a personalised, coordinated service that supports recovery and quality of life.
- Deputise for the Mental Health Manager when required.
- Provide staff supervision, support, and management, including initial assessments and coordinating with external stakeholders.

Day-to-Day Support for Service Users
You will work with active and independent individuals who have diverse interests and goals. Daily activities may include:
- Meals out, cooking/baking, and home meals
- Board games, movie nights, and social events
- Arts and crafts, hobbies, and creative workshops
- Community participation and independent living support

Requirements
- Strong understanding and experience in mental health support
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Commitment to person-centred care and recovery-focused practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionals from various fields
