Team Leader - Drumahoe

Team Leader – Full-Time Permanent Position

Location: SPAR Drumahoe Address: Unit 4, 66 Glenshane Rd, Derry/Londonderry, BT47 3SF Salary: £14.63 per hour (~£536.25 pre-tax per week, full time) Contract: Full-time permanent (37.5 hours per week)

A degree of flexibility is required to cover shifts including early openings, late closures (11:00 PM), and weekends.

A Look Into the Role

As Team Leader, you will support the Assistant Manager/Store Manager in delivering a shopping experience that delights customers and contributes to the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the store team in adhering to store policies, standards, and practices.
  • Act as keyholder, taking responsibility for the store when other leaders are unavailable.
  • Be a positive role model aligning with our values: Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork, and Integrity.
  • Manage team workloads, training, and support, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to maximise store performance, including implementing store priorities effectively.
  • Engage in community initiatives supporting local causes alongside the store team.
  • Support the Post Office when required, occasionally.

Skills & Experience Required

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Be 18+ (for regulatory compliance) with 6+ months of supervisory store retail experience, particularly in a customer-facing setting.
  • Possess natural communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to engage with customers and team members.
  • Bring target-driven enthusiasm and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Inspire and motivate your team to exceed goals for customers and the business.

Working Hours

  • Full-time permanent, 37.5 hours per week
  • Shift pattern: Monday–Sunday, from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM
  • Weekly shifts include a combination of early openings, late closures, and weekend work. Note: Shift preferences can be discussed during interview if shortlisted.
