Team Leader Engineering Recruitment Manager
Senior Recruiter / Team Leader – Engineering Facultative Recruitment
Our client, a rapidly growing recruitment consultancy with a strong engineering-focused desk, is seeking an ambitious Senior Recruiter or Team Leader to take charge of their Perm Blue Collar Engineering team. This is a development opportunity for progression from Team Leader into a full Manager role, working closely with the Managing Director to reshape and grow a team with a solid foundation but limited commercial drive.
The Role
- Take ownership of billing and sales performance for an established Perm Engineering desk
- Lead, coach, and develop a current team of four, scaling to six within the next 18 months
- Drive new business while reactivating some lapsed accounts—this is a sales-led role, not purely account management
- Bring genuine sales-driven energy to a team that leans more heavily on account management, helping them reach their potential
- Attain a personal billing target plus an additional team override bonus

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
