Team Leader
Team Leader – Care Home (Full Time, Dayshift)
London, UK | £18,500 per annum | Full Time | Hours: Dayshift | Contract
Dalgety Bay Care Home is a purpose-built care home located in the coastal town of Dalgety Bay, Fife. Providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 68 residents, the home offers a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where team members can make a meaningful difference every day.
Job Overview
As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership and delivery of care within the home, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, and person-centred support.
Working alongside the nursing and management team, you will:
- Help maintain standards, support compliance, and ensure best practice is consistently followed.
- Lead shifts, supervise and support care staff, and coordinate care delivery, including:
- Overseeing care planning
- Managing medication administration
- Ensuring accurate documentation
- Managing risk assessments
- Align all practices with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
- Act as a role model, promoting positive working practices.
- Support staff development, fostering a culture of respect, dignity, and accountability.
- Contribute to audits, reviews, and continuous improvement to maintain a well-run, high-performing service.

With 5.6 weeks’ annual leave (pro rata for part-time), you’ll also benefit from:

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of caregivers, ensuring compliance with care standards.
- Engage actively with residents and families to guarantee their well-being.
- Oversee medication administration and documentation systems.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment.
- Assist in mentoring junior staff and supporting their development.
- Contribute to team meetings, care planning reviews, and project assessments.

Requirements & Qualifications
- SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Medication Administration competency
- Clinical experience leading or supporting a care team
- Strong communication and leadership experience
- Demonstrates a caring, compassionate, and professional approach
