Team Leader

Team Leader – Care Home (Full Time, Dayshift)

London, UK | £18,500 per annum | Full Time | Hours: Dayshift | Contract

Dalgety Bay Care Home is a purpose-built care home located in the coastal town of Dalgety Bay, Fife. Providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 68 residents, the home offers a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where team members can make a meaningful difference every day.

Job Overview

As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership and delivery of care within the home, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, and person-centred support.

Working alongside the nursing and management team, you will:

  • Help maintain standards, support compliance, and ensure best practice is consistently followed.
  • Lead shifts, supervise and support care staff, and coordinate care delivery, including:
    • Overseeing care planning
    • Managing medication administration
    • Ensuring accurate documentation
    • Managing risk assessments
  • Align all practices with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
  • Act as a role model, promoting positive working practices.
  • Support staff development, fostering a culture of respect, dignity, and accountability.
  • Contribute to audits, reviews, and continuous improvement to maintain a well-run, high-performing service.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Qualifications

  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Medication Administration competency
  • Clinical experience leading or supporting a care team
  • Strong communication and leadership experience
  • Demonstrates a caring, compassionate, and professional approach
