Street Cleansing Team Leader - HGV License required
Grade: Ops
Pay: £19.14 an hour plus Veolia benefits
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, 13:30 - 22:00
Required to work x2 weekend a month (Saturday rate 1.5x and Sunday 2x rate)
Location: Westminster, SW1 1DW (not office based within Westminster, you will be within the heart of London)

What you'll be doing:
- Assist the Service Delivery Manager to ensure that the daily checking of vehicles and any other assets are completed at the commencement and during each shift and that the appropriate forms/E-documents are correctly completed.
- Ensure all staff are given the appropriate worksheet, round/beat sheet and map relating to their specific daily tasks with any amendments or variations and that they fully understand these tasks.
- Ensure all staff have the correct level of tools and equipment in a serviceable condition to carry out their duties.
- Ensure that any accident involving any employee, vehicle or equipment is fully investigated and that all documentation is produced and presented to your Manager.
- Undertake daily contract monitoring surveys and assist with generating associated reports as necessary.
- Assist the Manager in ensuring that all vehicles, items of plant and equipment are cleansed at least weekly or as shown in the cleansing schedule.
- On completion of daily work, ensure that the workforce has been correctly signed off, all routes, maps, worksheets and log sheets are returned and duly completed and signed.
- Provide cover for the Manager as and when necessary.

What we're looking for:
Essential:
- Supervisory/management experience required.
- HGV Class 2 Driving Licence and CPC/Tacho Card
- Experience and understanding of Transport management or similar
- Good IT knowledge/skills
- Leadership experience
Desired:
- Previous waste management experience
- Previous experience within a similar role would be advantageous.
