About the Role
Step into a key leadership position where you will guide and grow a team of 20–30 HSE professionals, driving Excellence in safety across offshore operations. This role demands effective remote leadership, collaborative cross-team work, and a commitment to fostering a positive safety culture.
As the leader of this team, you will ensure safe execution of complex projects while supporting and inspiring a diverse, distributed workforce. Offshore experience is a significant advantage, given the critical nature of the role and its direct impact on project outcomes.
Team Overview
Our team comprises both onshore and offshore HSE professionals, providing alignment and support across all CPX projects in NCE. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing HSE resources
- Overseeing operational activities
- Implementing key HSE initiatives
- Ensuring adherence to safety, health, welfare, and environmental standards
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of internal and external HSE professionals
- Embed Vestas’ culture, values, and strategy into team ways of working
Resource & Operational Management
- Allocate HSE resources effectively, ensuring proper skills and training (collaborating with Construction Supplier & Resource Management)
- Maintain close communication with team members to foster alignment and performance
Safety Culture & Compliance
- Prioritise safety, health, welfare, and environmental standards
- Promote and continuously improve a positive safety culture across projects
- Capture and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement

Professional Experience Required
- Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in Health, Safety, and Environment, preferably within wind operations or a similar industry
- Experience in people management, including remote leadership
- Igc NEBOSH or IOSH certification (or equivalent)
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or TapRroot training is advantageous
Technical & Soft Skills
- Proficiency in basic IT skills: SharePoint, Word, Excel (advanced preferably), Outlook, PowerPoint
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Personal Licensing & Compliance
- Full, valid driving licence

Location & Travel
- Primary work location: Aarhus (Denmark) or Warrington (UK)
- Expected travel: 60–80 days per year
