Shift Production Supervisor - Train Maintenance (Alstom)

Your Future Role
You will oversee train maintenance and servicing operations, ensuring maximum efficiency while managing a production team. Key responsibilities include providing direction, coaching, and guidance to Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Assistants.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee an efficient train maintenance operation aligned with operational and contractual targets.
- Manage maintenance projects in compliance with engineering instructions.
- Ensure safety for team members and stakeholders impacted by maintenance activities.
- Adhere to Alstom’s safety, quality, and procedural requirements, including the Depot Safety Management System and Depot Operations Plan.
- Perform diagnostics of train faults and execute repairs to maximise train availability.
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Document all work in the Alstom Asset Management System (SAP GSI).
- Analyse faults to identify root causes and implement countermeasures for improvement.
- Oversee maintenance tools, equipment, and spares, ensuring they are controlled and sourced appropriately.
- Support the Reliability Shift Manager and High-Tech Team in documenting breakdowns, identifying root causes, and developing corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Maintain high levels of organisation, cleanliness, and 5S standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain).
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks.
- Collaborate with teams to create maintenance strategies aligned with train and exam plans.
- Report to the Shift Production Manager, leading a team of Maintenance Technicians and Assistants to ensure smooth workflows and peak performance.
- Motivate, coach, and manage team performance, attendance, and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure staff adherence to working practices and quality standards.
- Identify training needs and support the Shift Production Manager in addressing them.
- Deputise for the Shift Production Manager as required during leave or absence.
