Residential Team Leader – Brynyhyfryd, Builth Wells


Salary & Contract Salary: £15.08 per hour Hours: 36 or 48-hour contract Shift Times: 20:00 – 08:00


About the Role Shaw Healthcare is seeking a passionate, caring Residential Team Leader to lead a team at Brynhyfryd, a purpose-built residential and nursing care service for older people with physical frailty and dementia in Builth Wells.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a passionate, caring team, ensuring person-centred care standards are met
  • Administer medication safely under Shaw Healthcare policies
  • Record and report changes in residents’ needs/wellbeing to the Line Manager
  • Maintain clear and accurate care plans & documentation
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues

The Residential Team Leader must be able to:

  • Work flexibly, creatively, and independently
  • Lead by example during shifts
  • Balance a high level of organisation with sensitivity and empathy for residents

Requirements

✅ Experience

  • Proven experience working with older people in residential care

✅ Qualifications

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent in progress)

✅ Personality & Skills

  • Patient, empathetic, organised, with excellent people skills
  • Team leadership ability with initiative and authority
