Residential Team Leader – Brynyhyfryd, Builth Wells
Salary & Contract Salary: £15.08 per hour Hours: 36 or 48-hour contract Shift Times: 20:00 – 08:00
About the Role Shaw Healthcare is seeking a passionate, caring Residential Team Leader to lead a team at Brynhyfryd, a purpose-built residential and nursing care service for older people with physical frailty and dementia in Builth Wells.

- Lead a passionate, caring team, ensuring person-centred care standards are met
- Administer medication safely under Shaw Healthcare policies
- Record and report changes in residents’ needs/wellbeing to the Line Manager
- Maintain clear and accurate care plans & documentation
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
The Residential Team Leader must be able to:
- Work flexibly, creatively, and independently
- Lead by example during shifts
- Balance a high level of organisation with sensitivity and empathy for residents
✅ Experience
- Proven experience working with older people in residential care
✅ Qualifications
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent in progress)
✅ Personality & Skills
- Patient, empathetic, organised, with excellent people skills
- Team leadership ability with initiative and authority
