Team Leader - Nights

Team Leader - Nights at Aire View Care Home (Leeds)

About the Role

Joining our award-winning team as a Team Leader – Nights at Aire View Care Home in Leeds, you will play a vital role in:

  • Delivering high-quality care and ensuring a safe, inclusive, caring, and open environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Supporting the home management team in fostering excellence while upholding our core values.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate person-centred care planning, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing actions via monthly evaluations and preventive audits while compiling meaningful action plans.
  • Assist in resident transfers and discharges, ensuring proper documentation, medication management, and accurate updates for next-of-kin.
  • Protect and promote residents’ overall well-being, adapting care plans to reflect changes in needs, compliance, and safety while reviewing mental and physical health updates hourly.
  • Assess and supervise safe working practices, including resident moving and transferring, implementing risk assessments for staff and resident safety.

Requirements

Key Skills & Qualifications:

You will bring caring sincerity, accountability, and integrity while embodying Avery’s values—respect, empathy, honesty, and inclusion. Successful candidates must meet the following:

  • NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • At least two years of experience in a senior nursing or care roles.
  • Proven ability to:
    • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    • Lead a team
    • Work imprecisely in the manager’s absence.

Additional Requirements:

  • A certificate of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be applied at Avery’s expense.
