Team Leader - Mountain Warehouse

Are you confident leading colleagues to achieve productivity, quality and service targets while maintaining a strong safety culture?
Here at GXO, we're recruiting for a Team Leader to join our Mountain Warehouse operation in Peterborough. This is a full-time, permanent role, working any 5 from 7 days, 14:00 – 22:00, where you'll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of warehouse operations and leading your team to deliver outstanding results.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of £29,966.82 per annum and 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company-sponsored pension scheme, life assurance, and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and coordinate warehouse colleagues across your designated area, ensuring productivity, accuracy, quality and service levels are consistently achieved
- Allocate labour and resources effectively to meet operational priorities, customer requirements and daily performance targets
- Monitor team performance, providing coaching, support and feedback to drive engagement, development and continuous improvement
- Promote a strong health & safety culture, ensuring compliance with safe systems of work, company procedures and operational standards
- Utilise warehouse management systems and operational reporting to track performance, identify opportunities and support effective decision-making

What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar warehouse leadership role within a fast-paced logistics environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive high levels of performance
- Experience working with warehouse management systems and operational KPIs to manage productivity and service delivery
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a strong commitment to customer service, continuous improvement and operational excellence
