Job Description
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Team Leader to oversee our day-to-day production activities, ensuring smooth processes, high performance, and a safe working environment.
About The Role
As a key member of our operations team, you’ll manage a team of Operators and coordinate valve production to meet customer demand, backlog requirements, and quality standards. You’ll work closely with Planning and Purchasing teams to ensure parts are delivered on time, enabling your team to keep production flowing efficiently.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll lead by example, maintain high standards, and drive continuous improvement across your area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and motivate a team of Operators to achieve daily performance targets.
- Coordinate production activities in line with customer demand and backlog.
- Work collaboratively with internal Planning and Purchasing teams to ensure timely parts availability.
- Maintain accurate build and test instructions, ensuring internal processes run smoothly.
- Use data-driven insights to support decision-making, including daily SQDCP reporting.
- Actively participate in tier meetings, contributing to problem-solving and process improvements.
- Uphold 5S housekeeping standards and promote an organised, efficient work environment.
- Implement efficiency improvements and address design, infrastructure, or process-related issues.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other Team Leaders and the Health & Safety Manager to address safety needs.
- Remain adaptable as responsibilities develop alongside business needs.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and supporting a team.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Confidence in using data to guide decisions and reporting.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards in quality, safety, and housekeeping.
Qualifications
Essential
- Basic understanding of lean management techniques
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading a team.
- Practical experience of following and applying health and safety standards.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
- Have an ability and willingness to train and coach others
- Collaborate within a team, providing direction and support to colleagues as needed
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Have a basic understanding of supply chain processes
