Team Leader

Team Leader – Children’s Residential Home

About the Role

Location: Stone Contract: Available via Contract Here Salary: Up to £40,000

This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, qualified professional to join our growing team in a children’s residential home. We are a rapidly expanding organisation specialising in supporting Children and Young People who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse, often displaying challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Residential Support Workers to plan and manage shifts
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safely manage risks in all care settings
  • Communicate effectively with the team regarding daily plans and objectives
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports and documentation of each young person’s progress using our paperless systems and tools
  • Review and update care plans, along with any relevant staff training records

Job Requirements

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

  • Must hold a full manual driving licence
  • Holds a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) for regulated work
  • Commitment to continuing professional development to support the needs of our young people
  • Passionate desire to improve the lives of children and young people
  • Ability to function as an active member of a professional team

Essential Attributes

  • Positive parenting approach in all interactions
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong knowledge of current Childcare Legislation, including:
    • Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the CQC-quality standards
  • Empathy, openness, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
