Team Leader

Team Leader – Wolverhampton

Location: Wolverhampton

Contract: Contract Vacancy | Salary: Up to £40,000

About the Role

An excellent opportunity for an experienced, qualified candidate to join our team in one of our children’s residential homes.

We are a rapidly expanding organisation that supports Children and Young People who have suffered from early life trauma, neglect, or abuse, and may display challenging behaviours. This role includes leadership, safeguarding, and care planning responsibilities within a fast-paced, supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage shifts in collaboration with Residential Support Workers
  • Ensure all risks are safely managed in line with company policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with the team regarding daily plans and shifts
  • Maintain paperless reporting systems, including progress updates, care plans, and documentation
  • Review and update young people’s care plans and associated documentation

Requirements

Essential:

  • A full manual driving licence (essential for travel between sites/residential homes)
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • A clear passion and desire to support Children and Young People
  • Strong positive parenting skills
  • Exceptional communication and empathy in a calm and professional manner
  • Sound knowledge of current legislation, including:
    • Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
    • Quality standards for safeguarding
  • Willingness to engage in further continuing professional development (CPD)

  • An open-minded approach to care challenges
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a progressive and committed team
