Team Leader / Senior Support Worker (Nights)

Night Care & Support Team Leader – Dove Valley Mews

We are looking for a confident Night Care & Support Team Leader with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You’ll be working full time, 42 hours a week (12-hour shifts): including alternate weekends (four shifts the first week, three shifts the second week), on a two-week rolling rota – nights only. Your work will make a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Dove Valley Mews.

Through person-centred care, we create meaningful and tailored opportunities for everyone within the service.


Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Medication management
  • Allocation and organisation of duties
  • Demonstating best practice in care standards
  • Supporting both management and team members in the day-to-day operations to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Overseeing the staff team and ensuring the service users are being supported in a way that aligns with their needs and wishes
  • Delivering enhanced care with a flexible and personalised approach
  • Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
  • Gaining an in-depth understanding of each individual’s specific needs, then supporting them effectively
  • Assisting with and reporting on medical and welfare needs
  • Implementing safeguarding protocols
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all
  • Supporting service users to explore the community—through provisions such as:
    • Attending work, college, hobbies, or personal activities
    • Enjoying days out and holidays
  • Empowering individuals through cooking, cleaning, hands-on tasks, and other development opportunities

  • An experienced Support Worker or Acting Team Leader who is ready to step up to this new challenge

  • Skilled at empowering and encouraging service user independence
  • A highly organised, committed professional, eager to develop your management and leadership skills
