About the Role
We are seeking a confident, passionate Night Care & Support Team Leader to deliver outstanding care in a residential service with comprehensive support needs.
This is a full-time role (42 hours/week), working 12-hour night shifts, including alternate weekends on a two-week rotating rota. You will make a profound difference at Dove Valley Mews, a residential service providing outcome-focused care for adults with:
- Learning disabilities
- Associated complex needs
- Behaviours that pose challenges to care

Daily Responsibilities
As the Night Care & Support Team Leader, you’ll:

Leadership & Team Management
- Allocate duties to ensure efficient service delivery
- Oversee staff and manage team dynamics
- Promote a culture of best practice in care provision

Person-Centred Support
- Offer flexible, individualised care aligned with each person’s needs
- Provide physical and emotional support, fostering encouragement and confidence
- Guide individuals towards greater independence

Health & Wellbeing Management
- Coordinate medication administration and medication records
- Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs
- Implement safeguarding protocols to maintain safety

Environment & Community Engagement
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulative environment
- Support access to community-based activities (e.g., work, college, hobbies)
- Encourage skill development through practical engagement (cooking, household tasks)
Requirements & Qualities
We are looking for candidates who embodies:
- A proven background as a Support Worker or previous acting leader
- Initiative and drive to create positive change in people’s lives
- Confident, assertive, and ambitious – with leadership credentials
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with individuals and colleagues
- Intuitive understanding of emotional needs and social dynamics
- Commitment to nurturing independence in those supported
- Excellent organisation, commitment, and enthusiasm to grow as a leader

- base pay: £15.39/hour (£33,870/year)
- elevation after 18 months: £15.64/hour
