Groundworks Team Leader / Supervisor – Bannockburn

About Murphy

Murphy is a leading international engineering and construction company, specialising in infrastructure, transportation, and energy sectors.

As part of ** Ofgem’s £29+ billion "Pathway to 2030"** programme, Murphy is delivering major electricity network upgrades across the north of Scotland. Key projects include:

  • Constructing new substations
  • Installing hundreds of kilometers of high-voltage overhead lines
  • Laying underground cables to connect renewable energy to the national grid.

What’s In Store For You

As a Groundworks Team Leader / Supervisor, you will:

  • Oversee and coordinate groundworks activities on critical developments
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, safely, and to the highest standards

What Your Day Will Include

  • Supervising and leading groundworks teams to meet deadlines
  • Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards
  • Monitoring equipment—usage, maintenance, and productivity optimisation
  • Providing on-site leadership, guidance, and support to groundworks crews

What We Need From You

Essential:

  • SSSTS / SMSTS certification
  • Proven experience supervising groundworks projects
  • In-depth knowledge of groundwork processes and techniques
  • UK driving licence

Advantageous:

  • Experience within the energy sector

Core Competencies:

  • Strong communicator and collaborator
  • Ability to build trust and working relationships within the team
  • Flexibility to travel and accommodate temporary site-based assignments
