About The Role
You will demonstrate strong leadership, motivate and support colleagues, and drive innovation in a busy, progressive department.
About The Department
Our modern Radiotherapy Department features eight Varian linear accelerators, including six TrueBeam units (two TrueBeam STX) and two Halcyon machines. - Manage a team of radiographers, providing clear leadership, support, and guidance to ensure high standards of clinical practice.
- Act as the Lead Clinical Radiographer for your designated treatment or pre treatment unit, taking responsibility for the coordination and delivery of safe and effective care.

- Serve as a key point of contact for specialist clinical advice, working collaboratively with Superintendent Radiographers to support staff and maintain best practice.
- Contribute actively to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the department’s ISO 9000 Quality Management System.
- Lead and participate in clinical research, audits, and the development of new radiotherapy techniques and equipment to ensure the department remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Ensure that the highest technical and patient care standards are consistently maintained during both simulation and treatment procedures.
- Take a proactive role in the evaluation, introduction, and implementation of new equipment, software, and advanced treatment techniques.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
