Description
As a Team Leader in the Tills & Grocery department at Planet Organic, you play a vital role in delivering our mission to promote health and sustainability to our community. You will lead your team in providing exceptional service and ensuring every customer experience is fun, educational, and rewarding. Your primary responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, training and mentoring team members, and maintaining our high standards of food safety and quality. Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example to make every customer experience enjoyable and informative.
- Train and develop team members, ensuring they are knowledgeable about our products and the benefits of organic and natural options.
- Oversee customer service at till points, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Accurately prepare and package incoming Deliveroo orders in a timely manner to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines to create a safe and clean environment for both customers and staff.
- Analyse sales and wastage and send reports to senior management as requested.
- Place orders and manage stock to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Train new starters and lead their progression within the team.
- Work as part of a team to complete daily tasks, including opening and closing the store in the absence of a duty manager when necessary.
- Collaborate with your team to prioritise and complete daily tasks, including stock management and presentation, while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
- Providing support for store operations by assisting with store opening and closing procedures, and other managerial duties as needed.

What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Passionate about food, health, and well-being, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices in a retail and food & drink servery environment.
- Previous retail experience is essential, with supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
- Our stores trade from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, Monday to Sunday, including public holidays. We're looking for team members who are flexible with their availability and able to work a variety of shifts across these trading hours as needed.
