Benugo Senior Specialist – Food & Beverage Service
About the Role
When we founded Benugo, we had a vision of not just creating superb, natural food but of giving London something that was a real experience. This vision still drives us today. The Benugo brand spans our award-winning high street stores, cafes, and restaurant partnerships with landmark public spaces—now including an exciting collaboration with John Lewis.
This is an incredible opportunity to help reimagine the in-store restaurant experience in 32 John Lewis locations, delivering fresh, locally sourced food with the highest standards. You’ll work any 5 of 7 days, including weekends, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where defining customer experience and upholding food safety compliance are core.
Responsibilities
- Ensure uncompromised customer service, delivering efficiency, support, and friendliness at all times.
- Oversee food safety compliance (legislation, Health & Safety, Food Safety, COSHH) and resolving service standards.
- Take full ownership of a specific food area (with flexibility to rotate as needed) and support team services.
- Handle deliveries and stock checks, reporting discrepancies or inventory issues to management.
- Play a key role in enhancing labour effectiveness, including training on F&B delivery and coaching team performance.
- Assist with team briefings, cash handling (pos systems), and order management (taking and serving food/drinks).
- Act as a team liaison, supporting managers and resolving queries on team or operational challenges.
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance (to reflect WSH + John Lewis brand standards) at all times.
- Commit to ongoing training, reinforcing knowledge of food, service standards, and business procedures.
- Contribute to service areas, including clearing tables and assisting as needed.

Hours & Compensation
- Hours: Up to 45 hours per week – full-time, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends).
- Employment: Temporary role during development phase.
- Rate: £14.25/hour (fixed salary covered fully for contracted service areas).
