Team Leader – Surrey Court Extra Care Scheme

About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Team Leader to support our Surrey Court Extra Care Scheme in Chandler’s Ford. This is a key leadership role within the service, offering the opportunity to:
- Support residents through exceptional care delivery
- Lead and mentor a care team
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Extra Care provisions
- Work in a dynamic environment focused on person-centred care
Responsibilities
As Team Leader, your primary focus will be on providing visible leadership, operational support, and quality care within the scheme. Your key responsibilities include:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead by example, ensuring high standards of professionalism and care on site
- Supervise and support the care team to maintain consistent, high-quality service delivery
- Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and internal stakeholders (e.g., management, staff)
Operational Support
- Oversee rota planning, staffing levels, and day-to-day operations to ensure seamless service delivery
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, legal standards, and safeguarding protocols
- Represent the scheme in inter-team collaborations and external partnerships

This role demands calm, organised leadership with the ability to balance operational challenges while prioritising resident well-being.
Qualifications & Requirements
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience as a care team manager or supervisory role (preferably in an Extra Care or residential setting)
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, person-centred care principles, and safeguarding practices
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to organise, prioritise, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and improving care standards
- Business or leadership qualifications (e.g., qualification in management or care leadership) are desirable but not essential
